Day 7&8 -- Weekend excursion to Niagara Falls
Group 2 Summa Wong 3A (26)
Over the weekend, going to the Niagara Falls was an amazing experience. We went on the Hornblower to have a closer look at the falls. It was fascinating with such a magnificent view in sight even though we all got wet. When we were behind the falls, we felt the power of nature by viewing the wondrous creation closely.
At the night of day 1, we watched the show named "Oh Canada Eh". It is like a musical about Canada's speciality. Throughout the musical, modern and traditional Canadian songs were sung. The musical went deep down into the Canadian culture, as a result we learnt much about the characteristics and lives of the locals.
In the afternoon on day 2, we went to the Butterfly Conservatory and we've never seen such a large amount of butterflies in our lifetime! The species of the butterflies are very unique and we were overwhelmed by them. We also learnt how to be careful with creatures and respect their habitat. Then we went to the outlet and did some shopping. It was fun and interesting staying in Niagara as a whole.

We have been excited for the trip to the Niagara Falls, one of the famous tourist attractions in Canada. It was a refreshing experience since prior to the visit, we could only have a glance of the gorgeous falls through pictures and videos. We got wet on the boat but it was worth it with the impeccable view of the falls.
After that, we were glad that we were able to pay a visit to the scenes behind the Niagara Falls, during which we knew about some fun facts such as how the fall was formed. Furthermore, it was our pleasure to join in the 4576th dinner show of 'Oh Canada Eh!' as the musical performance was fun and fantastic to watch. There is far more interaction between actors and audience than in normal shows, making us feel involved throughout the show. We all enjoyed our day at the Niagara Falls.

This weekend we went on an excursion to Niagara Falls. The most memorable part of the excursion is the HornBlower undoubtedly . It was indeed impressive to be able to take a closer look at the splendid waterfall although I was soaking. Besides appraising the beauty of nature, the journey reminded me of how powerful and wonderful nature is. I also had the chance to discover more secrets behind the Niagara Falls through The Journey Behind the Falls. The view is stunning and I definitely enjoyed it. We then went to the ‘Oh Canada Eh’ dinner show. I feel really lucky to be able to experience the local Canadian culture, history as well as geography while listening to the songs.

Today we went to the Butterfly Conservatory Centre to observe different kinds of butterflies in Canada after having our breakfast. We first watched a short video clip about how the butterflies are transferred to the Centre from different countries, and how the butterflies were born with special treatments by the staff. The butterflies are very colorful and amazing. We all enjoyed watching them flying through their tropical habitats. Some brave classmates tried to have the butterflies stay on their fingertips, which was fun. After that, we went to Outlet Mall for lunch and shopping. We bought some souvenirs for our friends and family members. We also had a great lunch there; we all hope to go there again. At night, we did the preparations for the Culture Night tomorrow. With good cooperation among us, we did the preparations very efficiently.

We went to Niagara Falls this morning from Brescia University by shuttle bus. It took us around two hours to get to the Niagara Falls. We had our first lunch at the Clifton Hall before going for the hornblower. The view of the Niagara Falls is really fascinating! In order to get closer to the Niagara Falls, we travelled on a cruise. While we were heading towards the Falls on the cruise, we were nearly all wet as the water of the Falls was splashing onto us. We all got wet even though we had already put on our raincoats. A rainbow was formed above the water, which made a beautiful scene with the Falls beside. We took a lot of pictures and even went to the back of the Niagara Falls to take a closer shot of the beautiful scene.
Having had a wonderful experience at the Niagara Falls, we bought some postcards of Niagara Falls so we could keep for commemoration and mail to our family and friends to share this beautiful view with them. Then, we headed to the dinner show 'Oh Canada Eh'. It was amazing considering both the food and the show. We even sang along while the people were performing. The night was very enjoyable. The worst thing of the day was the residence and conference centre at which we stayed for the night. The cold night with the design of the building made us feel uncomfortable.
We had a full breakfast after the entire uneasy night on the next morning. Then, we headed to the butterfly conservatory to watch and take pictures of the beautiful butterflies. At first, some of us were scared to go inside as the butterflies would fly around us. However, when we stepped inside the greenhouse, we were all amazed by the beautiful butterflies of different varieties. We liked the blue and green butterflies the most. We tried to let the butterflies crawl on our hands and take pictures with them. We were all interested in the butterflies once we were in the same area with them.
After that, we went to Outlet Mall to have our lunch and do our shopping. We were all excited when shopping at the Outlet Mall as we all like shopping. Everyone left with hands full of shopping bags. It seemed that everyone was having a great and wonderful time. After spending two days in Niagara Falls, we then went back to Brescia and we all had a wonderful time and experience in Niagara Falls.

We are halfway through our two-week-trip and we spent our weekend at the Niagara Falls. Before going to the Falls, we had lunch at Clifton Hill. It was like a little theme park with lots of movie characters such as Frankenstein, joker and jack from the Caribbean pirates. It was a street full of amazement and we were all fascinated by the beautiful and giant decorations.
It was the first time for all our group members to visit the Niagara Falls and the scenery was fascinating. We had a chance to get on the Hornblower cruise and take a closer look at the Niagara Falls. We were all stunned by the power of the nature, and how lucky we were to be able to get close to the Falls! The dinner that night was also an unforgettable experience as it was our first time to have such an entertaining dinner show. The actors sang and danced so well and the food was also delicious, which all of us enjoyed a lot. They dedicated us a song called “O Canada” at the end to express their love for their homeland, and that was my favorite song of the whole performance!

Our last two days spent in the famous Niagara Falls are undeniably the highlight of the trip.
After a fulfilling lunch at the fun-filled Clifton Hill on Saturday, we embarked on our journey to view the Falls close up on the Hornblower. To say the Falls is breathtaking would be an understatement. The gushing water, mist and double rainbows all added to the aesthetics of the landmark, making it seemingly surreal. Although we were drenched from head to toe, we still enjoyed the tour very much; and for those who are visiting Canada for the first time, it is no doubt that this experience would linger in their minds for a lifetime. After an afternoon at the Falls, we went to a dinner show called "Oh Canada Eh!". Not only did we admire the performers' talent and hard work, we've also learnt more about Canada: its colloquial language, traditional songs and culture. The dinner experience was highly entertaining, and if I ever visit Canada again, this will definitely be a part of my itinerary.
After a full breakfast at iHop, we headed to the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory. There were more than 2000 butterflies in the conservatory and all of them were very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Although some of us were afraid, some were brave and reached out for the butterflies. Their bravery was returned with a bevy of beautiful pictures. We then went shopping at the Outlet Mall for 4 hours. All the shops offered enticing discounts and we all had a great time shopping and eating. Time definitely flies by quick. At 5pm, we returned to Brescia and said goodbye to the beautiful and fun Niagara Falls.
To conclude, it has been a fun and educational weekend at Niagara Falls. Not only have we learnt more about Canada's landmarks and culture, we also had a swell time together. We thank the school for providing us this once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is definitely a memorable one.

These two days were marvelous and unforgettable. The trip to the Niagara Falls was definitely the most impressive part of the weekend program.
On Saturday, we first went to Clifton Hill to have lunch and bought some souvenirs there. Then we headed to the Niagara Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. I love the ride on the “Hornblower” very much though most of us got really wet during the ride. It was very exciting as we could enjoy the close up view of the falls. The Journey Behind the Falls also provided us with an opportunity to learn more about the history and geography of waterfall, and at the same time, we could take beautiful photos of the scenery with the rainbow as well! It would be great if we had more time to enjoy this superbly fabulous nature.
At night, we watched the “Oh Canada Eh!” dinner show. The food were palatable and the show was great. All the performers are talented and fantastic!
The highlight of the Sunday trip was the shopping experience at the outlet mall. It was tiring yet interesting and amazing! We didn’t expect that such a big difference between the style of the mall in Canada and that of Hong Kong. Most of us bought clothes, accessories and skin care products. It was a wonderful and awesome day!

After leaving the hostel, we had a long bus ride, during which everyone fell asleep, making up for the late night yesterday. The breakfast today was delicious! Ihop had great coffee and I would love to try their pancakes someday.
Going to the Butterfly Conservatory was an extraordinary learning experience for me. I'm scared of butterflies so I left the first chance I could, but the others stayed behind and took lots of photos. There were many butterflies of different colours, including the eye-catching blue of morphos, and some of them had the hawk-like wings of moths. We were all amazed by the diversity of butterflies.
Lastly, we went shopping at an outlet mall, but the coupons we were given were mostly useless because the price was mostly way too expensive for students. It was fun trying to spot as many different shops as possible. For example, we've always known shops like Hot Topic and Tim Hortons but have never actually bought anything there. The customer service personnel is friendlier than that of Hong Kong, although they work a lot slower. We ended up with lots of bags and aching feet and left to go back to Brescia.
Group 10 Queenie Koo 3L (12) Day 7
Today is our seventh day of the Brescia Canada Tour, and instead of having lectures and activities at Brescia, we went on an excursion to Niagara Falls to spend our weekend. We went to visit the Falls through the Hornblower. It was very exciting to see the waterfalls at such a close look, but the water splash onto us from head to toe as if we were stuck in a thunderstorm, but the sounds of the water were astounding. It's such a valuable experience to see the magnificent Niagara Falls even though we got soaked. After the exhausting adventure, we watched a dinner show - Oh Canada Eh! and the show presents the underrated Canadian culture through stand-up comedy and songs.
We visited the Butterfly Conservatory the next day. There were so many plants and butterflies, and they were all beautiful. Overall, the two days were very unforgettable!
